Who we are

Ernesto Ortiz 

Ernesto Ortiz is a marketing and communications executive with over 20 years of experience advising companies in the US, Brazil and Latin America on positioning their brand and establishing a business presence.

His expertise spans a variety of marketing and communications tools such as PR, digital marketing, employee communications, crisis management, trade shows and thought leadership events. He also helps companies engage in regional forums and chambers such as Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Beacon Council (Miami’s development agency), as well as various regional Brazilian chambers of commerce..

Overall, he has worked or consulted for companies in a variety of fast-paced industries, including Telecom, Financial Services, IT and Hospitality, helping companies such as Nortel Network, Hewlett Packard, CFA Institute, Blackberry, Tata Consultancy Services, Lenovo, Philips and the Brazilian Secretariat for Social Communications (SECOM). He also spent several years planning and executing programs for global agencies Fleishman Hillard and Porter Novelli.

Prior to coming to the U.S., Ortiz spent several years working in the financial market in Brazil, as an analyst and trader for Shearson-Lehman; Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette; and Refco International. He assisted clients in key international financial exchanges, such as New York, London and Hong Kong.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and a Master’s in Corporate Communications from the University of Florida, where he was a fellow of the Brazil-Florida Institute. He has lived in Miami for over 20 years and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese

Carolina Copello 

Carolina Copello is a business and communications professional with an extensive international background. Of Cuban and Argentine decent, Carolina grew up in Brazil, lived in Belgium, and has resided in Miami since 2008.

Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French, her strengths include corporate communications, executive training, media relations, internal communications, among others. Prior to founding her own agency in 2011, Carolina held public relations and human resources positions in both corporate and agency environments. She began her career with MasterCard Europe in the talent management department, leading the planning and execution of in-house training for a workforce of over 800 employees.

This role led her to join the MasterCard Latin America offices, based in Miami, working as an in-house consultant for Porter Novelli managing the Internal Communications strategy and implementation for the Latin America and Caribbean regions. She subsequently took on additional global accounts, such as UPS and Qualcomm.

She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with a minor in Human Resource Management from Vesalius College in association with Boston University in Brussels, Belgium. In her free time, Carolina enjoys reading, working out, cooking and learning.
